How do you approach life?
I usually have a “whatever happens, happens” kind of outlook, which might be rare in Japan, but it works for me. I don’t really think it’s necessary to have a specific goal in life and I rather take my time and enjoy each day rather than trying to rush through life.
Spread Happiness
I’ve been wanting to have a tour guide business for Disneyland. I often get asked to guide the park from my friends, and I really enjoy watching them get excited when I tell them what I know so I thought it would be cool to spread that kind of enjoyment

Kensuke is a Japanese native who moved to Los Angeles 2 years ago. From his quiet and calm demeanor it may be a surprise that he is the ultimate Disneyland fan. Born a free spirit, he felt out of place living in Japan. “I think I was very fortunate to have a family that understood my needs. Plus, this is where Disneyland is, so it’s a win-win for me.” Kensuke has a ‘whatever happens, happens’ outlook on life, which is rare to have in Japan. Not having a specific goal in life is okay. Life is not all about sprinting. Kensuke prefers to enjoy each day, and he proudly displays that idea. He mentioned that he wanted to start a Disneyland tour guide business showing people the hidden gems, as well as tips and tricks to navigate around the park. When asked the reason behind that, he quietly explains, “I often get asked to guide the park from my friends, and I really enjoy watching them get excited when I tell them what I know so I thought it would be cool to spread that kind of enjoyment.”
Don’t move too fast, and slow down. Enjoy the company of loved ones. That’s what I took from speaking with Kensuke and I’m already packing my backpack for an epic Disneyland tour.
